Melissa Alfano lives in Dorset Ontario and for over 20 years was involved in planning and organizing special events. Melissa has dabbled with face painting over the years doing simple cheek art designs. It was at the Dorset winter carnival that Melissa met an extraordinary face painter, Janice Paterson and was inspired to give it a try.

Melissa signed up for a course with Nick Wolfe, one of the top guys in the face and body art industry, and started perfecting her craft. She also attended the Face and Body Art International Convention (www.fabaic.com) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to rub shoulders and to learn tips and techniques with face painters from around the globe.

Melissa is passionate about art and starting at the tender age of 10, studied with many teachers over the years. Methods, skills and techniques learned throughout the years have given her an edge. Her love of kids, having fun and enjoying life to its fullest is a perfect fit for a second career in face painting.

 

Melissa continues to take every opportunity to advance her skills and participates in master class workshops whenever possible. She spends many hours practising and researching the latest trends in the industry. Her "kit" is up to date with the best professional products available.
